Our church is currently in a season of prayer and fasting. The primary focus of the prayers has been "repentance." The word repent means to "turn away." As we fast and confess the sins that the Holy Spirit reveals to us, we are so convicted, that it causes us to no longer desire the former things.
You’ve probably heard the old joke about the fellow who satan was really giving a hard time and was told, “Cheer up, Things could be worse.” So he cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse.”
Does the 4th Commandment God gave to man stating that the Sabbath Day should be kept holy? Did Jesus or the New Testament suggest that the Commandments should be abolished or ignored? Did Jesus expect His disciples as well as God's believers to "keep the Sabbath holy" even towards the End of the World?
Our citizenship in heaven is to be our focus. Out of our conversation in heaven will come the ability to be Christ's ambassador to earth.
